WEEKLY EVENTS 2009

·         April 28^th-(back) “Back in the Swing”: 4 Players per team only- Straight stroke play.  If you’re rusty and the strokes start to add up quickly on a hole, pick up your ball and score a 10, take a deep breath and start over on the next hole.

·         May 5th-(front) No putts. Keep track of total team putts.  At the end of the round, subtract the number of total putts from the total strokes for the team.  The winning team will have the fewest remaining strokes.

·         May 1 - (back) Low Team Net (competing w/teams): Add up your team’s score.  Winner will be the team with the lowest net score (after subtracting handicaps).

·         May 2 - (front) Low Score on Par 4’s (competing w/flights): Your individual scores on holes 1, 2, 7 and 9.  Add them up.  The winner will have the lowest score.  One winner per flight.  Keep track of putts for tie breaker.

·         May 26th – (back) Throw Out Your Worst Hole (competing with flights) Submit your best 8 holes for your score.  The winner will have the lowest score.  One winner per flight.  Please write both your regular 9 hole score (for handicap) and best 8 holes score on card.

·         June 2nd- (front) Modified Stableford- rules to be distributed prior to start of play.

·         June 9th– (back) Low Team Putts (competing w/teams): This is a team event.  Add up the team’s putts.  The team with lowest number of putts wins.

·         June 16th – (front) Low Score on Even Holes (competing w/flights): Add up your score on all of the even holes (2, 4, 6, 8).  The winner will have the lowest score in each flight.  Keep track of putts for tie breakers

·         June 23rd – (back) Meet your “league mates”.  Sign up for a different tee time and play with someone new!  Tee times will be posted for sign up in the clubhouse on June 9^th.  If we can’t fill all of the tee times and give everyone a chance to play, another event will be posted or we will play regular stroke play with no event.  If you don’t play on June 9^th, please have a team mate sign up for your tee time.

·         June 30th – (front) Longest Drive on #4: (competing w/flights): Four posts/markers will be in the fairway.  Find the correct marker based on your flight.  If you drive the ball off the tee farther (must be in the fairway) than where the marker is, move the marker to your ball, cross off the last person’s name and put your name under theirs.  The winners will have the longest drive in the fairway, one from each flight. (Will the last team on the course please pick up and bring in the markers-thanks)

·          July 7th – (back) “Honest John” Prior to teeing off, each golfer guesses what she will score and writes the score on the card.  Winner is golfer who scores closest to her guess (gross score-no handicap).  One winner per flight.

·   July 14 –– (front) Closest to the Pin on #5 (competing w/all): When your ball lands on the green from your tee shot only(not chipping on) and if it is closest to the pin based on the mark for your flight, move the appropriate flight marker and place it next to your ball.  Then cross out the players name on the marker and put your name under it.  The winners are the 4 players closest to the pin, one from each flight.

·         July 21st – (back) Low Score on Odd Holes (competing w/flights): Add up your scores on the odd holes (11, 13, 15, 17).  The winner will have the lowest score in each flight.  Keep track of putts for tie breakers!

·         July 28th – (front) Lowest Individual Putts (competing w/flights): Total up your putts.  The winners will have the fewest putts, one from each flight.

·         August 4th – (back) Lowest Individual Score (competing w/flights):  Your total score will be handicapped adjusted.  The winner will be the lowest score from each flight.

·         August 11^th – (front) Meet more of your “league mates”.  Sign up for a different tee time and play with someone new again!  Tee times will be posted for sign up in the clubhouse on July 28^th.  If we can’t fill all of the tee times and give everyone a chance to play, another event will be posted or we will play regular stroke play with no event. If you don’t play on July 28^th, please have a team mate sign up for your tee time.

·         August 18^th (back) Low Score on Par 5’s (competing w/flights): Add up your score on Par 5’s-(11,15 and 17).  The winner will have the lowest score on Par 5’s, one from each flight.  Please keep track of your putts for tie breakers

·         August 25 – (front)   Last night of league.  4 players only. Make it your best round yet!

·         September 1- Award/Prize dinner meeting at DaVanni’s in Plymouth 6:00pm.  Tentative- date will be confirmed.
